Welcome to the PTFA section!
The PTFA, also known as the Friends of Victoria Park Primary School, is run completely by volunteers with a dual aim of raising money and building a community.
You may see a few of us each week as we run the cake sale on a Friday but we are also involved in the following events through the school year:
· School discos
· Summer Fair
· Christmas Fair
· Parent Socials
We spend the money raised on things that the school budget doesn't stretch to in order that all the children have access to the best opportunities available. This may be a theatre performance, play pods, forest school resources or school trips.
So far this year we have supported the Storyteller, a performance from Kids Carpet, work on the playground, the Year 6 leaver's books and trip, as well as contributing to the Samba Week which is coming up.
It is good to have new people involved and we are always looking for new ideas; without volunteers we would not be able to put on events through the year. It is important to stress that we are willing to accept whatever donation you can give; whether it is an hour at the summer fair, toys for a stall or helping decorate the school we are grateful for all the help we receive.
If you come along to a meeting to find out more, you will not be signed up to helping with everything, we all have busy lives but if there is something you think we are missing in our calendar of events please get in touch.
We now have a Facebook page if you search for Victoria Park Primary School PTFA as well as a new logo so that we have our own identity as well as being linked to the school. You can also get in touch with us through our email address: email@example.com
Do you know our six school values? They are co-operation, respect, determination, gratitude, honesty and kindness.
